Your HTMA kit is mailed to your door. Once results are back from the lab, you receive a PDF with the raw results. This package is a great starting point. There is no live call, but you'll receive a personalized video walkthrough + report printout of your results. The HTMA 101 course is also a great resource to help you understand your HTMA results.
Blood tests are valuable, but just like saliva, urine, and stool samples, they can only show what is going on at that exact moment in time. They are a quick snapshot of what is going on and can change within hours or even minutes. A hair sample shows us 3-4 months of data at the cellular level, and a much better view of how you're using your minerals.
HTMA reflects trends in metal exposure and how your body has been managing them. It's not a diagnostic test for acute toxicity. If you're concerned about a specific exposure event, it's best to speak with your doctor.
Yes. Pregnancy and postpartum is actually a great time to address mineral depletion. Recommendations are always adjusted for your stage of life, and many parents also run this test for their children at the same time.
In all the HTMAs I've run and case studies I've seen, I have yet to come across one that didn't reveal some form of pattern worth addressing. Even a relatively balanced report provides valuable information by ruling out specific imbalances, confirms what's working, and helps direct what to focus on next.
4-6 weeks of new hair growth is preferred and the sample should be taken as close to the scalp as possible. Only scalp hair is accepted. The lab does not accept bear, armpit, or other hair.
From the time you place your order, plan for approximately 3 weeks total — a few days for your kit to arrive, 1-2 weeks for the lab to process your sample, and 1-2 weeks to send your results back. Once your results are in you'll receive an email.

Lab - We use TEI Labs for our tests as they do not wash their hair samples which can skew the results. Labcorp or Quest are used for bloodwork.
Restrictions - US clients only. We cannot accept samples from NY state, but the rest of the US is ok.
Retesting - It's recommended to retest in 3-4 months to see what is shifting or needs adjusted.
Refunds - Once your order has been placed and HTMA kit and/or bloodwork requisition has been mailed out, no refund can be made. All lab tests are void after 1 year from purchase.
